What am I DOING????

I spend far, far too much time in front of my laptop, connecting with my support system of parents of children with diabetes, avoiding the elliptical exerciser and the laundry piles. So what in the WORLD am I thinking, trying to start my own blog? Do I really believe that I have something new and different to say about being a pancreas for an 11-year-old girl or an antacid for a 9-year old boy?

Maybe I'm a masochist and I need something *else* to make me feel inadequate. Or not.

I do know that I surely have nothing new to contribute to the Diabetes OC - surely it's all been said before, in much more elegant prose. I also know that I won't keep up with blogging nearly as well as some of my local friends with blogs (hi, Kelly & Wendy!). But having seen how they are able to shed some of the day-to-day stress of dealing with growing children, a chronic illness or two, and all the assorted angst caused by 21st-century parenting made me want to give it a try. Could end up being a one-shot deal, could be the best thing that I ever tried. Or entirely humiliating, no matter how long it lasts. We shall see!

  1. GREAT PICTURE!

I spend WAY too much time online too Beth, I ignore the laundry screams since blogging feels better. Just what we all need is MORE time thinking about Diabetes! I must spend 3 hours a day sucking up all the blogs and new Diabetes info. WOW, no wonder I have found peace in Diabetes!

And hush, there's ALWAYS a need for more d-bloggers. Always.
